Q. What if I arrive early? Where can I wait?
You're welcome to arrive up to 10 minutes early — we'll welcome you at the studio. If you have more time, Tsukuda Sumiyoshi Shrine is a peaceful 5-minute walk from the station: founded by Osaka fishermen in 1646, it's one of Tokyo's oldest active shrines, with a small pond and quiet grounds.
Q. What if my train is delayed or I'm running late?
Please call us at +1-213-214-3338 as soon as you know — we can wait a few minutes. Email and direct messages may be slower on the day of your class.
Q. Can I take a taxi instead of the metro?
Yes. From Ginza it's about 10 minutes (around ¥1,500). Show the driver this address: 〒104-0051 東京都中央区佃2-13-5 HAUS Tsukishima 2階 (2-13-5 Tsukuda, Chuo-ku, Tokyo — HAUS Tsukishima, 2F). Tip: open the map above and show the driver your phone screen.
Q. Is the building stroller- or wheelchair-accessible?
HAUS Tsukishima has stairs only to the 2nd floor — there is no elevator. Foldable strollers work well, and we are happy to help carry them up. The walk from the station is flat and step-free.
Q. Can I store luggage during the class?
Small bags and backpacks are welcome in our studio. Our kitchen is cozy, so large suitcases may not fit — coin lockers at Tsukishima Station are the easiest option for those, located just outside the ticket gates.
Q. Are English signs available at Tsukishima Station?
Yes. Exit 4 is clearly marked in English, and the station is small and easy to navigate.
Q. Can I bring kids?
Yes — many families join us. The studio is on the 2nd floor, the walk is flat, and we can adjust the pace. Our group classes welcome children aged 5 and up, together with an adult; with younger children, a private class lets your family cook at your own pace.
Q. I'm staying at an APA Hotel, Tokyu Stay, or Prince Hotel. Is it hard to get there?
Not at all. Many guests stay at these hotels. The routes are simple — see "Easy Access from Across Tokyo" below for routes from major areas, including Shibuya.

Haneda Airport
Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho, connect to the Oedo Line at Daimon, then direct to Tsukishima — one transfer.
Narita Airport
Keisei or JR to central Tokyo, then one subway transfer to Tsukishima.
From major areas
Shinjuku
Oedo Line direct to Tsukishima — no transfer needed.
Ginza
Yurakucho Line direct from Ginza-itchome or Yurakucho.
Tokyo Station
JR Yamanote Line to Yurakucho, then change to the Yurakucho Line.
Shinagawa
Yamanote Line, transfer to Yurakucho Line.
Akasaka & Roppongi
Oedo Line direct from Roppongi or Azabu-juban. From Akasaka-mitsuke, walk underground to Nagatacho, then take the Yurakucho Line direct.
Asakusa & Ueno
Asakusa Line to Kuramae, then walk above ground to the Oedo Line's Kuramae Station and ride direct to Tsukishima. From Ueno: Oedo Line direct from Ueno-okachimachi.
From Shibuya
Staying in Shibuya? We're in Tsukishima, about 23–30 minutes away by metro, and the line you take decides where you can stop along the way. Times vary by a few minutes with the day and hour.
From Shibuya, Via Nagatacho
Hanzomon Line to Nagatacho, then change to the Yurakucho Line to Tsukishima.
On the way: Nagatacho and Akasaka (Akasaka-mitsuke Station is linked to Nagatacho Station underground).
From Shibuya, Via Aoyama-itchome
Hanzomon Line to Aoyama-itchome, then change to the Oedo Line (toward Roppongi / Daimon) to Tsukishima.
On the way: Roppongi, Azabu-juban, or the Tsukiji Outer Market (Tsukijishijo Station, two stops before Tsukishima).
From Shibuya, Via Ginza
Ginza Line to Ginza, walk to Ginza-itchome Station (about 8 minutes), then the Yurakucho Line to Tsukishima.
On the way: Ginza.
Join the morning class (10:00–13:00) and you're back in Shibuya or Harajuku for the afternoon. Coming via Aoyama-itchome (Oedo Line)? Stop for a light breakfast at the Tsukiji Outer Market first, and save room for what you cook in class.
